<p>Upon sacrifice, livers were rapidly removed and stored in liquid nitrogen. Livers were stored at -80â°C until used for RNA extraction. Tissues from the Czech Republic and Japan were shipped on dry ice to the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus for RNA extraction and cDNA library preparation</p>
