# Power ## Power Distribution Units The server room has 2 main power distribution units (PDU), named "A" and "B". Each PDU has a left and right side (I think) and the cables proceeding from each are labelled with "L" for left and "R" for right, leading to a naming scheme for the cables that approximates the following: ``` ``` Our racks are powered from the following cables: * AR31 * A-R-28-30 * BL331 * BR222** * others ... non-GN and non-Octopus connections were not verified **The BR222 connections were difficult to follow though I do have high confidence regarding them, since there were not many connections going in the same direction.** ## Devices Connections The power connections were considered from left-to-right while facing the back of the racks/servers. tux 01 ... tux02 and tux03 have non-standard power terminals. tux02 has 2 power supplies, but only one had a cable, that was connected to BR222. tux03 has two power supplies, but both are connected to AR31. Neither can be moved in the meantime without some sort of adapter, because tux03 . **TODO** Actually update this with the connector identification... The power supplies on tux04 were both, initially connected to AR31. I moved the cable for the power supply on the right to BL331. The power supplies on tux05 were both, initially connected to BL331. I moved the cable on the right to AR31. tux06, tux07, tux08 and tux09 all had their left power supplies come from an extension that was ultimately connected to the A-R-28-30 cable from PDU "A". The right power supplies came from BL331. Octopus[01..11] are all single PSU (power-supply unit) devices. They have no redundancy. Same for Bacchus. Space is connected to AR31 (left) and BR222 (right). Penguin had both PSUs connected to BR222 initially. I switched the right PSU to A-R-28-30. Lambda is unique, being the only device with 4 power supply terminals. In order, from left to right, they were connected to A-R-28-30, A-R-28-30, BL331, and BL331.
